Home Sweet Home

I am currently sitting in the airport in Philadelphia on my way home. While I enjoyed both Miami and North Carolina, it has been a long 3 weeks. I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed and believe it or not, cooking! :)

This week will be a little nuts. I have a ton to do at work and we need to get a massive start on packing up the house. On Sunday morning I leave for the Monte-Carlo Open - I am very excited but overwhelmed at all that needs to be accomplished before my departure. Luckily I'm only gone a week and then I'm home the night of the 26th.

My dad is planning to get into town Monday night to help us load the moving truck on Tuesday. Wednesday is the big day. I'm planning for pizza and champagne for dinner! LOL!

While I'm very excited about our new house there are some sad, and nervous, things that come with this move.
1) My good friend Erin and her fiance Andrew recently bought a house not far from us. While we really haven't seen them much since their arrival, it has been fun seeing them in the grocery store! :) We will just have to make sure we make a good effort to catch up with them often.
2) It has been really nice living next door to a friend and co-worker. There have been several times Jeremy has given me a ride to or from work. Of course, he's also been a good neighbor - checking the mail when we're gone, coming to dinner and even sharing movies. The good thing is that I'll see him everyday at work. :)
3) I am nervous about getting the commute down. Not sure why as I commuted for many years. Then again, I love my sleep so it's probably more a worry about how much less I'm going to get with the extra we have to drive! LOL!
4) I'm very nervous about the bills. I know we can afford the mortgage but it's a bit of a stretch to know how much all the bills will be each month.

Of course there are always the exciting things about it - living near our friends, being in a NEW house (literally), and being in a neighborhood near families and maybe some other people our age!

Well, we're boarding. I can't wait to be home. I'm sure the next few days will FLY by but I have no doubt they'll be productive!!!
