Just call us Mommy & Daddy

Yup, I'm pregnant! We found out at the very end of July. My blood test levels were so high (anything over a 4 is considered positive and mine came back at 6,400!) so they thought I might be further along than I was thinking so I went in for an ultrasound. They decided I was 4 weeks and 3 days along when they did this on July 29th.

We were so excited with the news!
On Wednesday, August 19th I had another ultrasound to see if there were two in there (because of my high numbers). There's only one and the doctor measured me to be a week farther along than my original appointment. My due date was April 4th but now it's March 30th.

I got two pics from that appointment....

This one is the regular ultrasound pic. The head is on the left.

This picture is way cooler. It's a 3D shot. I was so excited when the technician flipped the switch to the 3D. It was so much easier to tell what I was looking at and actually see everything.

I told Shaun that it kinda looks more like a manatee than a baby at this point. LOL! Can you see the resemblance?

My event went well

So my bike event was last weekend (August 8th & 9th). It went REALLY well. I was so excited see all the hard work that we crunched into about 3 weeks come to life. The cyclists who participated were amazing and so friendly. I don't think I've ever had so many people come up and tell me they were so glad to meet me and what a great job I did. While I was already proud of myself, it was nice to have people be so supportive. The weekend was definitely a success and I look forward to next year when I have even more ownership of the event and have more time to work with the details! :)

Then on Wednesday & Thursday my co-workers and I headed to Waltham, MA. Vermont is merging with the Central New England Chapter of the MS Society as of October 1st so we're all getting new bosses. While one of the managers I'll work with was at my bike event, my direct manager, Todd, was not. It was so nice to meet him and the rest of the team at the CNE offices. I'm looking forward to that change too.

Shaun's story is the same as always. Work. Although he did play doubles with a friend in tournament this weekend. Unfortunately they lost in the first round. Oh well, he still has today (Saturday) off from work so that's great for him. Too bad I'm working in Lake Placid and can't hang-out with him. Oh well, we'll have most of the day tomorrow.

So, since we're so boring, I'm signing off. We hope everyone is well. Love and hugs to everyone!
