Finally....The Sydney Harbour Bridge

Well, it took me long enough, I know but here is the picture that was taken of us when we climbed the Syndey Harbour Bridge one evening. It's such a bummer that they don't let your own camera (let alone anything else besides sunglasses!) up there. The views were amazing and the moon was full and SOOOO beautiful that night.

We started our climb around 7:15pm so the sun was still out when we headed up. The first picture they took of us was with the Syndey Opera House in the background (it's the one posted). With the wind and all the crazy stuff they make you wear it seemed impossible to take a good picture. Of course with 10 other people going up with you they don't really care how good the pictures are - lol! Trust me, this was the best one of the several they took. Sad, right? :)

By the time we were almost to the top of the bridge it was getting dark and the moon was coming out. The full moon over the city was stunning and I wish we had a picture of that more than anything.

The experience was definitely pretty cool and I'm glad we did it. If anyone goes to Sydney, I recommend this adventure.

San Diego

Well, I'm glad I knew coming into this weekend that California was going to be cold. What a bummer. It was cold, it was windy and it was RAINY! The day I arrived was pretty nice and the site where the tennis tournament was setup was gorgeous. The event was at the La Jolla Shores Beach & Tennis Club right on the ocean. The court was surrounded by palm trees and just looked fantastic.

The day of the first matches, Saturday, was sunny but windy and cool. Unfortunately, Lindsey Davenport lost her first match but Ashley Harkleroad won hers. That left day one in a split and unpromising weather for Sunday. As luck would have it, Sunday was AWFUL!!!!

I woke up to POURING rain and dark clouds. The winds got up to about 45mph. It was crazy miserable. I spent the day doing some work, reading, watching a few movies and napping since there was nothing else to do around the hotel area. The only good thing was that everyone was able to watch the SuperBowl with no delay.

Today I'm headed home and the weather is really nice again. Go figure! The sun is out but it's still cool and windy. Oh well, the teams are playing. Lindsey won her match so the USA is up 2-1 over Germany. The second match hasn't started but if Ashley plays like she did Saturday, I think she'll do well.

When I get home I'll post a picture of the sunset I took on Saturday night from the beach of our hotel.

Until then, I'm leaving on a jet plane...don't know when I'll be back again...
